Robin Cynthia (Cyndi) Abrams
Cyndi Abrams of Lake City, 46, wife of Donnie Abrams, died Oct. 16, 2008 at her residence.
A memorial service was Oct. 19 in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbia.

She was predeceased by a son, Joshua Robert Boyne; father-in-law, Hubert Abrams and mother-in-law, Eullee Powell of Johnsonville; two brother-in-laws, Jimmy Wright and Paul Poston.
Born in Greenwood, Mrs. Abrams was a daughter of Willie Ann T. Cook and the late Sadler Weston Clowney, Jr. Mrs. Abrams attended the Calvary Baptist Church, and was retired from the Florence County School District 1 as network administrator.
Surviving are mother, Willie Ann T. Cook and step father, Rev. Ronald Cook of Hamer; her husband, James Donnie Abrams; three sons, Jesse Boyne, Cody Phillps of Lake City, and Trampes (Marti) Abrams of Effingham; a sister, Renee C. Millisor (Tim) of High Point, N.C.; two brothers, Rick Clowney (Warren) of Florence and Jim Clowney (Nancy) of Summerville; two grandchildren, Brett Patrick and Brycen James Abrams of Effingham; two uncles, Walker (Buddy) Rabon of Columbia and Don Rabon of Conway; two brothers-in-law, Ray (Cindy) Abrams and Steve (Becky) Abrams; three sisters-in-law, Brenda (Stanley) Coker, Myrtle Wright and Wanda Poston; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Carrol Louise Drew
Carrol Louise Thomy Drew of Columbia, 90, died Oct.16, 2008, at her home on Ridgepoint Road.
A funeral mass was Oct. 20 in St. Philips Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Lake City Cemetery.

Mrs. Drew was the older of two children and was predeceased by Vincent A. (Sonny) Thomy.
Born in Lake City, Carrol Louise Thomy Drew was a daughter of the late Marshall A. and Olive Yarborough Thomy and sister to the late Vincent A. (Sonny) Thomy. Mrs. Drew was a founding member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Lake City, a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Charleston for over 35 years and most recently a member of St. John Neumann Church in Columbia.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Sam F. (Mary) Drew Jr. of Columbia; two daughters, Carrol D. Sidrony of Dothan, Ala. and Patty D. (Marc) Drews of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Jason Sidrony, Lucas (Katie) Sidrony, Phoebe Drew Blalock, Amanda Drew (Carson) Thomas, Dr. John A Drew, Dr. Emily Louise Drew, Joshua Drews, Noah (Natosha) Drews and Leslie Drews and four great-grandchildren.
Henry Fedkenhauer
Henry Hank Fedkenhauer of Coward, 66, died Oct. 17, 2008, in his residence after a long illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29501.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Henrietta Sis Cowan and Frieda Parker; a granddaughter, Nikki Tomlinson; and a son-in-law, Rick Tomlinson.
Born July 12, 1942, in Chicago, Mr. Fedkenhauer was a son of the late Henry and Emma Balter Fedkenhauer, and was married to Lois Berman Fedkenhauer. Mr. Fedkenhauer had been a resident here since 1964 and was employed by A.B. Dick, Brown Bovari, and PMI. He was an avid fisherman and was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are wife, Lois Fedkenhauer of the home; two daughters, Mary Tomlinson (late husband, Rick) of Charleston and Lisa Wise (Brantley) of Conway; a son, Marc Fedkenhauer (Donna) of Coward; a granddaughter, Renee Tomlinson of Charleston; a step-grandson, BJ Tomlinson of Charleston; four grandsons, Eric and Ryan Fedkenhauer, both of Coward, and Trey and Josh Coker, both of Conway; two nephews, Rick Cowan of Florence and Joey Cowan of Naples, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Mary Bayer; a brother-in-law, Ron Berman; a sister-in-law, Sandy Rippy (Bob), all of Las Vegas; and a special friend, Alec Pugh “Big E.” Ethel.
The family of Mr. Fedkenhauer would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Singh, Dr. Locklair and McLeod Hospice for the compassion and support they gave during times of need.
Troy Kenneth Johnson, Sr.
Troy Kenneth Johnson Sr. of Lynchburg, 70, died Oct. 16, 2008 at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
A funeral was Oct. 18 with burial in the church cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert J. Johnson, Leonard Johnson, Eunice Motte Lackey, Thaddeus Johnson, Elma Jones, Ruby Garrett, and Joseph Johnson.
Born in the Shiloh Community of Sumter County on Sept. 12, 1938, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Robert Alfred and Florrie Marie Timmons Johnson of Sumter County. He was a retired farmer. He graduated from Mayewood High School in 1958 and member of the State Championship baseball team of 1955 at Sherwood School. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church all of his life and served as a board member for the Shiloh Community Center, and was an officer of Lodge 311 Woodmen Of The World.
Surviving are his wife, Winnie Jernigan Johnson; daughters, Susan Newman of Hattisburg, MS., Rosalynne (Gregg) Watford of Turbeville, Stephanie (Tony) Burns of Sumter, Aurelia (Paul) Newman of Sumter; son Troy Kenneth (Michelle) Johnson, Jr. of Gilbert; grandchildren, Ashlee Newman, Alan, Adri and Alexus Watford, Joshua Troy Burns, Caleb Ryan Burns, Eden and Shiloh Johnson, McKibbin Newman; sister, Mary Ellen Parker of Aynor; a sister-in-law, Mildred J. Dukes of Turbeville and brother-in-law, Julian Garrett of Greenwood.
Brenda Wise
Brenda Elaine Godwin Wise of Lake City, 56, died Oct. 17, 2008, in a Florence hospital after a long illness.
A funeral was Oct. 20 in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cockfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, 4525 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84117.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ansel Shay Wise, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Godwin.
Born Sept. 15, 1952, in Florence, Mrs. Wise was a daughter of the late James Paul Godwin and the late Rennetta Cox Godwin, and was married to Randy S. Wise. She was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired after 22 years from Champus Blue Cross and Blue Sheild of Florence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are husband, Randy S. Wise, of the home; a daughter, Brandy K. Flowers of Florence; a son, Richard J. Wise (Jennifer) of Lake City; three brothers, David Godwin (Katherine) of Andrews, Renea Godwin (Linda) of Lake City, and Michael Godwin of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Tripp Turner, Shay Flowers, both of Florence, and Andrew and Eric Wise, both of Lake City, and several nieces and nephews.
