LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Beth Windham

There are places of business in Lamar that publicly tell people in town they do not want your high school athletes to succeed.

I have personally heard it in two different businesses in town.

So before you take your hard-earned money and spend in town, make sure they support your child.

There is no room in a small town for this to be happening.

If we are going to survive as a small town, we can’t have the places of business telling customers they hope high school students never win another game. It’s not fair to the kids.

When the businesses get back on track, I will be glad to spend my money there.

Otherwise, the rest of Darlington and Florence County can count on my money.

Please think about this, citizens of the Lamar area.
