Protection is the name of the game for The Blue Group, Inc., of Nichols, owned and managed by Dr. Daniel W. Blue Jr. The company handles insurance, bonds, real estate, security alarms, and surveillance cameras, most anything that seeks to protect families, properties and businesses. At 9321 U.S. Highway 76, the company has served Pee Dee region by conducting small business seminars on products available through the business.

The business is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m .and for customers’ convenience, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “We are a growing business,” Blue said. “We grow one client at the time.” In the coming months the community-minded businessman, who serves on several county boards and commissions and in civic organizations, said he will work to keep his clients updated on new products and changes.

Blue said making regular telephones calls to clients helps to make sure that his clients’ needs are covered. Clients include, he said, community organizations, childcare centers, churches, government entities, non profit groups, families, and more.

In 2009 we will continue to keep our office open, working with our clients to meet their needs, Blue said. If folks are looking to help improve the county, he said, “There are a lot of opportunities in Marion County for citizens … They can invest in a movie theatre, Boys and girls Club and in education programs for students to attend on Saturdays so they can work to improve their skills…”

Blue is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Marion County Health Care System Board of Directors, Marion County Economic Development Board of Directors and the Marion County NAACP.

Blue said “There is a lot of opportunity for growth in our county and by working together as partners in the community, we can achieve.” Blue can be reached by telephone at (843) 526-0029 or by E-mail at .
