ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg beaten
1 can fruit cocktail, less 2 tbls. juice.
1 tsp. vanilla

topping

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts
dollop of cool whip and slice of kiwi

cooking instructions:
combine first four ingredients in med. size bowl.

add beaten egg and fruit cocktail to dry ingredients
add vanilla.

grease and flour( or spray) a 8x8 baking pan or one standard cake pan. place mixture in pan, add topping.

bake at 350 for 30 minutes

add cool whip and kiwi when serving.
