Surratte-Carter

Courtney Elizabeth Surratte and Harry Leroy Carter lll of Florence were married at 4 p.m. May 16, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Cheraw. The Rev. Richard Lee Young performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark Surratte of Cheraw. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thomas Watson of Ruby, the late Marjorie Surratte Mills and the late Harold Glenn Surratte of Lilesville, N.C. She is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in sociology and is employed by Florence-Darlington Technical College.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leroy Carter Jr. of Kingstree. He is the grandson of the Rev. Leon J. McKnight, the late Eula Mae McKnight of Kingstree and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leroy Carter Sr. of Kingstree.
He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in political science and is employed by Armstrong Wealth Management Group.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Elizabeth Crow.
Best man was Mr. Harry Leroy Carter Jr., father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Miss Lauren Outen and Miss Kendall Chavis.
Junior groomsman was Mr. Kyle Chavis.
Usher was Mr. William Chavis.
Flower girl was Miss Madison McKnight.
Ring bearer was Master Mason McKnight and Junior Ring Bearer was Master Kayden Carter.
A reception followed at the Cheraw Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will live in Florence.
