Ginny Lynn Shugart of Duncan, SC and Kevin Scott Brown of Kernersville, NC, were married at 6:30 p.m. June 27, 2009, at Central United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Maurice Bernard Morrow III, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Steven Lynn Shugart, performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, Steven Lynn Shugart, is the daughter of Mrs. Julian Brockington Fowler of Florence and the Rev. Dr. Steven Lynn Shugart of Easley. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Dantzler Albergotti Jr. and the late Mrs. Margaret Morrow Albergotti of Florence, SC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lester Shugart of Chester, SC.
She is a cum laude graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Management and is currently a Human Resources Executive for Target.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gray Brown of Kernersville, NC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moore Phelps of Greenville, NC and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lindsay Brown of Winston-Salem, NC.
He is a graduate of N.C. State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and is currently a Design Engineer for Westinghouse Air Brakes Co.
Matron of Honor was Catherine Caudle Parks, childhood friend.
Best Man was Harvey Gray Brown, groom’s father.
Bridesmaids were Anna Grace Shugart, half-sister of the bride, Christina Ann Freeman, sorority sister, and Valerie Jean Musick, Lindsey Michelle Helms and Brittany Leigh Duncan, all childhood friends of the bride.
Honorary Bridesmaids were Caitlin Meek Steelman, college roommate, and Rebecca Lynn Grice, Emily Rose Grice and Melanie Ann Tucker, all cousins of bride.
Groomsmen were Alton Wayne Hannah Jr., brother of the groom, Jonathan Dantzler Shugart, brother of the bride, David England Eidson, childhood friend, Matthew Scott Sumpter, college roommate, and Adam Wayne Smith, childhood friend.
Junior Groomsmen were William Ware Shugart, half-brother of the bride, and Jackson Grant Shugart, half-brother of the bride.
Flower Girl was Emily Honor Bonds, family friend.
Acolyte was Benjamin Philip Bonds, family friend.
Soloists were Jessica Lauren Goodyear and Nick Townsend, and organist was William B. Mills.
A reception followed at the Florence Country Club with entertainment provided by The Fantastic Shakers.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Duncan, SC.
