Markel – Jernigan

Tony and Sheri Markel of Bumpass, Va. announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Nichole Markel, to Charles Hunter Jernigan, son of Glen and Sue Jernigan of Darlington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Doris Brubaker of Bellwood, Pa., and Thelma Markel and the late Dennis Markel of Tyrone, Pa. She is a graduate of Piedmont Christian School, and is employed by Tavern On The Rail.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Bob and Jan Pennstrom and Ed and Evelynn Jernigan. He is a graduate of Florence Christian School, Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and is employed by Central Virginia Assembly of God and Cuckoo Marina.
The wedding will be May 2, 2009, at Bethany Christian Church in Bumpass, Va.
