King – Shea

Mr. and Mrs. Roachel Dent King III of Society Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Catherine King, to Jason Shea, son of Terri and Norman Reams of Ada, Ohio, and Gordon and Cinda Shea of Kenton, Ohio.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Arnette, and Mrs. Ann King and the late Mr. Roachel Dent King Jr. of Society Hill. She is a 1995 graduate of James F. Byrnes in Florence and Clemson University with a degree in animal science. She earned a graduate degree in animal science-genetics from North Carolina State University and is working on a Ph.D. in educational leadership at N.C. State and Cambridge College. She is employed by Samson Early College in Clinton, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Bob Gossman, Marlene Gossman and Dick Pryer of Webster, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Shea. He is a 1998 graduate of Hardin Northern High School in Dola, Ohio, and Ohio State University with a degree in agriculture education. He is employed by Murphy’s Family Ventures Farm in Wallace, N.C.
The wedding will be May 23, 2009, at Wallace Presbyterian Church in Wallace, N.C.
