Floyd – Kirby

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis Floyd of New Zion announce the engagement of their daughter, Abbie Lauren Floyd, to Allen Drew Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe Kirby of Cades.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Singleton Jackson of Gable and Mrs. Samuel Bethea Floyd of New Zion and the late Mr. Floyd. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina. She is expected to graduate in August from the Medical University of South Carolina with a master’s degree as a physician assistant.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kirby of Cades and the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Allen Jr. of Effingham. He received a Bachelor of Science from Francis Marion University and a master’s degree in administration from Cambridge College. He is employed by Clarendon School District 3.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the home of the bride in New Zion.
