Jennifer Lynn Cox of Valdosta, GA and Larry Linwood “Woody” Poston Jr. of Lake City were married at 11 a.m. March 28 at The Mansion of Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA. The Rev. David M. Simmons performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by Bruce L. “Chip” Cox Jr., brother of the bride, is a daughter of Mrs. Fonda Ellerbee Cox of Valdosta, GA and the late Bruce L. Cox Sr. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett L. Ellerbee of Ashburn, GA and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Cox of Millen, GA.
The bride was an honor graduate of Tift County High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University and is employed by Rideout Memorial Hospital in Maryville, CA.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Poston Sr. of Lake City and is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Tucker Sr. of Lake City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Poston of Hannah. He is a graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School and received an associate degree in Nursing from Central Carolina Technical College and is employed as a registered nurse with Mercy Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA.
Matron of Honor was Mrs. Kristie Wiggins Cox, sister-in-law of the bride.
Junior Bridesmaid was Miss Jamie Elizabeth Yarborough, niece of the groom.
Flower Girls were Miss Madison Elizabeth Cox, Miss Sarah Catherine Cox both nieces of the bride and Miss Ashley Brooke Yarborough niece of the groom.
Best Man was Larry L. Poston Sr. father of the groom and groomsman was Kevin Poston, friend of the groom.
Honorary attendants were Mrs. Virginia Alberson, Dr. Jacky and Laura Aron, Rodney and Missy Berry, Derrick and Darlene Coker, Britt Collins, Dr. Walter and Beth Cottingham, Rodney Durham, Mrs. Shelvy Elder, Mrs. Freida Hobby, Mrs. Christy Moseley, Charles Ridgell and Ricky and Doralyn Yarborough all family and friends of the bride and groom.
Wedding musicians were New Arts Ensembles of Savannah, Ga.
A reception followed at The Mansion on Forsyth Park Ballroom in Savannah, GA.
After a wedding trip to Bahamas, the couple will live in Citrus Heights, CA.
A Rehearsal Dinner was given by the groom’s parents at Paul Deen’s The Lady & Sons in Savannah, GA.
