Braxton - Shady

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Braxton of Scranton announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Michelle Braxton, to Michael Daniel Shady, is the son of Mr. Jerry Shady of Olanta and Ms. Patti Lowder Shady of Scranton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Janie Wilkes and the late Troy Wilkes of Scranton, Mr. Jackie Lee of Florence, and Mr. and Mrs. Barney Braxton of Scranton. She is a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with an associate of Health Sciences in radiologic technology and is employed by Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Angilene Lynch and the late Dermont Lowder of Scranton, Mrs. Bonnie Shady and the late Willie Shady of Scranton, and the great-grandson of Ms. Ethelda Lee of Lake City. He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelors of Science in business administration with a specialization in marketing, and is employed by Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership.
The wedding will be May 16, 2009, at Gilead Free Will Baptist Church in Scranton.
