The S.C. Bar Pro Bono Program is sponsoring Legal Lessons: A Series for the Public, a seven-week program on Tuesday evenings beginning Feb. 21 and continuing through April 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. Classes will take place at Williamsburg Technical College located at 601 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Kingstree.
The schedule is as follows:
· Feb. 21 — overview of state courts and alternative dispute resolution
· Feb. 28 — juvenile justice and overview of child protection hearings
· March 6 — family law; real estate and landlord/tenant law
· March 13 — wills, estates and probate; health care and elder law
· March 20 — S.C. workers’ compensation and employment law
· March 27 — bankruptcy law; consumer law and debt collection
· April 3 — criminal law and torts
