Recruiter arrested for sexual battery with Latta student

LATTA, SC - A recruiter with the South Carolina National Guard has been arrested for sexual battery of a Latta student.

Dillon County Sheriff's Office Captain Cliff Arnette said Corey Wilson was arrested and charged with sexual battery of a student and lewd act on a minor involving a 16-year-old female Latta High School student that happenedin May of 2011.

Arnetts said Wilson was on Latta High School property at some point in relation to the South Carolina National Guard.

Wilson has been given a bond of $45,000.

The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting with the investigation.
