The Quinby Police Department successfully apprehended an unidentified black male passenger who fled the scene of a routine traffic stop Monday afternoon in Quinby.

Described as a black male with dreadlocks, black shirt with photo on the front, black pants, dark shoes and wearing a Skittles jacket, he fled on foot into the Honeysuckle Lane area of Quinby near Black Creek.

Authorities stated that he was of no threat to the surrounding community and are unsure as to why he suddenly fled the scene. He's currently being charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

The driver of the vehicle, also unidentified, was released after receiving a traffic violation. Quinby Police Chief, K. E. Coxe, is unsure if the driver knows the passenger or what their relationship is to one another.
