I don’t know anyone in their right mind who wanted the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl a few weeks ago.
Who the heck likes Eli Manning? “No one” is the answer to that question.
I’m not a Patriots fan, but Lord help, I can not help but root against the Manning family. I didn’t have a real interest in who won the game, but more so, who lost.
Now, football season is over and I don’t have cable, so what the heck am I going to do? Watch… network… television…and… their… “programming.” No. I don’t waste my time with network television and didn’t care for cable programming outside of sports.
With sports season being basically over for me, I’m doing my annual “hobby pick-up,” where I pick-up where I left off during the summer with things that interest me.
I, being the deftly intellectual person that I am, have taken up any number of hobbies. Shooting, drumming and reading will all now take the front seat when it comes to my free time.
As for the first, it’s the most expensive and therefore, I get to shoot and interact with firearms less than I would prefer. I’ll just give you the gist of this: I was trained by Johnsonville Police Chief Ron Douglas. If I told you anything else, I might have to kill you… Or at least cancel your subscription.
If you’ve ever spent any time with me (you haven’t, so you have a right to be jealous of those who have), you’d know that I have a chronically bad case of the taps, which means I tap with my fingers in an annoying fashion. This seems to bother people, but I don’t know why.
This problem with tapping manifests itself most purely whenever I’m sitting behind my mutt of a drum set and pounding away the tail tale rhythm of “Rock ‘N Roll” by Led Zepplin. Now, I’ll definitely be making more time for this hobby.
