A community forum addressing prescription drug abuse in Robeson County is scheduled for held Wednesday, March 30 from noon to 2 p.m. in the former Shoe Show location at Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton.
According to a news release from Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Fred Wells Brason II, CEO of Project Lazarus, will present a program entitled Developing a Community Response to Address Prescription Drug Abuse.
The forum will address current challenges, possible solutions, plan development and future steps, the release said.
The program and lunch are provided at no charge, however space is limited and registration is required by March 23 by calling (910) 674-8494 or emailing mcquee02@srmc.org.
The event is presented by Robeson County Substance Abuse Coalition and sponsored by the Robeson County Partnership for Community Health and the North Carolina Governor’s Institute on Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
