A Hartsville man has been charged in an Horry County motor vehicle crash last month that resulted in the death of a Heath Springs woman.

Don Leget Marsh, 58, is charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death and two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury.

Marsh, who was injured in the crash, was released from an area hospital Friday and is incarcerated at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway under a $75,000 bond.

The crash happened at 12:40 a.m. May 8 on U.S. 501 near Singleton Ridge Road, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said. Marsh was driving a 2007 Toyota truck north on U.S. 501 when he crossed the median into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2001 Nissan sport-utility vehicle driven by 41-year-old Deanna Lynn Plyler, who died in the crash. Two passengers traveling with Plyler also were injured.
