A Sumter man surrendered to investigators early Tuesday morning following the shooting of a man in the Rembert community Monday.
Christopher Leon Butler, Sumter, is charged with one count of attempted murder in the shooting that took place in the 3000 Block of Connie Drive, according to a release issued by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
Butler is in custody at the Sumter/Lee Regional Detention Center where he awaits a bond hearing, according to the release.
