Dillon deputies investigate Hamer homicide

HAMER, SC --

Dillon County deputies are investigating the death of a man in Hamer Friday night.

Deputies responded to a call at a home on Buttonwood Drive and after a brief investigation determined that a homicide had taken place, Capt. Cliff Arnette, Dillon County Sheriff's Office, said.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Randy Rogers, 31. He said the autopsy would determine the cause of death.

The investigation is at a point where he can't release any information on the events surrounding the death, Arnette said.
