Myrtle Beach Cut-A-Thon set to support Wounded Warriors

»  Comments | Post a Comment

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - On February 13, 2012, from 11am-6pm, Myrtle Beach's area hair salons will be cutting for a cause. Cheveux Hair Salon, Hair by Orlando, Lee Kirk at Salon One, and The Strand College of Hair Design will be hosting a Cut-a-thon to support our wounded veterans.

For a suggested donation of just $20 for adults and $10 for children, you can get a great new style or refresh your current style all while supporting our veterans.

All donations raised at the Myrtle Beach Cut-a-thon will benefit the Patriot Hunts organization. Patriot Hunts is dedicated to providing outdoor experiences for our wounded warriors.

Whether it's a veteran's first time participating in outdoor recreational activities or getting them back to a favorite past time, the veterans find this a rewarding  experience.  AJ, a member of the US Armed Special Forces and wounded warrior, felt a sense of healing as well as a special connection to his fellow veterans during his recent  Patriot Hunts experience, "I really enjoyed spending time with other guys who have been hurt and connecting with others who share a similar passion for outdoors.  I hope your operation expands to help more wounded guys next year so they can make new friends, memories and share in the healing process of the outdoors."

Providing wounded soldiers with a recreational outlet in the great outdoors surrounded by others in their similar situations really helps in the healing process.

Founder of Patriot Hunts, Ken Barnard, is passionate about serving those who have served us all, "As these men and women have given up so much for this country, not only their time away from families, but sometimes their life and limbs. They give without asking anything in return from this country. We at Patriot Hunts give, because they ask for nothing, but have in some cases given everything."

If you'd like to give back to our wounded warriors and get a great haircut, join Myrtle Beach's local salons and Patriot Hunts at the Cut-a-thon on February 13, 2012 at Cheveux Hair Salon located at 3901 North Kings Highway #4 in Myrtle Beach.
