I-73 for S.C., a grassroots organization formed and directed by community leaders from Marlboro, Marion, Dillon and Horry counties, will hold a neighborhood meeting Friday in Mullins to discuss how I-73 can improve the Pee Dee and Grand Strand communities.
I-73 for S.C. organization leaders and community members want to educate the public on the needs of the proposed I-73 highway, inform lawmakers of the benefits of I-73 construction and work with lawmakers to secure funding for the highway.
The meeting is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Milton Troy Senior Banquet Hall, 106 Gapway St. in Mullins.
The neighborhood meeting will discuss how I-73 can improve the Pee Dee and Grand Strand communities, including job creation, economic benefits, and less traffic. This bi-partisan gathering is the third of a series of community meetings hosted by I-73 for S.C. in Marlboro, Marion and Horry counties to educate members of the Pee Dee and Grand Strand communities and foster discussion of the proposed highway. The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be served.
