CONWAY – Conway Police arrested Franciosx Edriqou Shepard, 21, of Conway, in connection with a shooting that occurred February 19.
According to a press release, Shepard turned himself in Thursday morning.
Warrants for attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a dwelling were served on Shepard.
On Sunday, February 19, shortly after 3:00 a.m., Conway Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Woodward Drive in reference to a shooting. Once on scene, officers learned that the victim was being treated at Conway Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the thigh.
After interviewing the victim, officers learned that Shepard and the victim had argued over the telephone earlier and that Shepard later came to the victim’s residence wanting to fight. When the victim refused to leave the residence, Shepard produced a handgun and fired twice, striking the victim once in the thigh.
Following the shooting, Shepard fled in an unknown direction and the victim was transported to Conway Medical Center by a friend.
