MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Myrtle Beach State Park will team up with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Horry County to do a Pont Restoration Project on Saturday.
Myrtle Beach State Park manager Gerald Ives said the partnership involves the state park and the youth of Horry County who have run into trouble with the law.
The project brings the youth out to a state park to give back to the community and to get the kids outdoors to do a project that will enhance the wildlife of the park.
This project will also benefit our visitors and provide a great wildlife viewing area to enjoy.
Myrtle Beach State Park, DJJ staff and some local law enforcement officers will be working with these youth to build a stronger relationship with the kids and to hopefully instill some pride and a better appreciation for our natural world.
