CONWAY, SC - Horry County, along with the City of Myrtle Beach and the South Carolina Department of Transportation, will open the new Fred Nash Boulevard (Withers) on February 21.

Motorists will encounter the following traffic patterns:

  • Fred Nash Boulevard and Emory Road – A temporary, 4-way stop at the intersection of Fred Nash Boulevard and Emory Road will be in place for two weeks. After two weeks, the two stop signs on Fred Nash Boulevard will be removed to allow traffic on Fred Nash Boulevard to proceed without stopping. The remaining 2 stop signs on Emory Road will remain in place. (See map intersection #1)
  • Farrow Parkway – New stop signs will be installed on the side streets of Crow Lane and Fred Nash Boulevard (Withers) to cross Farrow Parkway. This is temporary until a new traffic signal is installed in the next 4-6 weeks. (See map intersection #2)

Also, Macklin Road (South end from Watergate Dr. to SC RT. 707) will be closed on Monday, February 13, for approximately3-4 weeks to allow the contractor to grade this area. Message boards have been installed to notify local residents. Traffic can access U.S. RT. 17 & S.C. RT. 707 from other streets.
