Man shot in chest during Conway home invasion

An early morning home invasion in Conway sent one man to the hospital with a gun shot sound to the chest early Monday morning.

According to the incident report, two black men wearing bandanas forced their way into a home at 130 Sheldon Court in Conway just before 2:30 a.m.  The two men entered a bedroom where two of the residents were at.

One of the residents attempted to fight one of the masked men when he was shot in the chest. Police said the victim was taken to Grand Strand Hospital and is in stable condition.

No one inside the house was able to give any further description of the men.

The robbers were able to get away with a black Playstation 2, a cell phone and about $17.
