Direct Air begins new service to Florida from MYR

MYRTLE BEACH - Direct Air began new service from Myrtle Beach, SC to Orlando/Lakeland, FL today as well as to Hagerstown, MD. Direct Air, based in Myrtle Beach, SC is the first to operate flights from Myrtle Beach, SC to Lakeland, FL and Hagerstown, MD. Lakeland is the gateway to central Florida. It is a 30-minute drive to Orlando-home to several major tourist attractions, which include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. Lakeland is also a 30-minute drive to Tampa/St Pete, another popular tourist destination with world-class beaches, Busch Gardens, the Seminole Hardrock Casino and Florida Aquarium. Lakeland is the future site of the new Legoland Discovery Center, scheduled to open October 2011.
