A convertible car show was added to the 60th annual Sun Fun festival held at Grand Park at The Market Common on Saturday.
The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce wanted the car show to be considered as an attempt to break the world record for the most cars ever to be in convertible car show, but there was no such record on the books. Nora Hembree, media communications manager for the Chamber, said her office and the Guinness Book of World Records did not work out the details before the events date, so not record was attempted.
The First Annual Sun Fun Myrtle Beach Convertible Car Show began at 10 a.m. at Grand Park. Cars were judged for cash and door prizes.

- 2 p.m. Island Adventure Watersports wake board demo
- 4 p.m. Platinum Band
- 4 p.m. Island Adventure Watersports wake board demo
