A domestic call culminated in a high speed chase through the city of Darlington Saturday night. The incident began when a woman called 911 and said her husband was threatening to shoot her.
When deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old Terry Dubose, got into his pick-up truk and attempted to flee the area, according to a press release issued by Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd. "When the deputy attempted to stop Dubose, a chase began," Byrd said. " Dubose lost control of his vehicle entering the city of Darlington and crashed at the intersection of Broad and South Main."
EMS and Fire officials had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate Dubose from his truck, which landed upside down after flipping several times.
Dubose was transported to an area hospital. He is expected to recover from the wreck but faces charges of criminal domestic violence, failure to stop for a blue light, and driving under the influence.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
