SURFSIDE BEACH, SC - An ad hoc parking committee discussed adding parking meters to areas near the beach in Surfside Beach Tuesday.
The committee also discussed changing the months of the year residents would have to pay to park.
The committee approved a number of ideas, including no parking in the right of way on the ocean side of Ocean Blvd. and no new meters in front of permanent residences.
Any actual change would need city council approval.
