The Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach celebrated its 15th anniversary Saturday.

A ceremony Saturday featured art displays that highlight Myrtle Beach culture.

There were various drawings, art people can wear, and musical art.

The museum's "I Heart Art" initiative teaches the community all about life in Myrtle Beach through different art forms.

"It is our 15th anniversary so we want to spread awareness of things that we're doing here,” said Casey Church, the museum’s services coordinator. “But, people need to know that there are other art organizations in the area as well. There is culture here you just have to find it."

Some got a taste of that culture as a group of Tibetan monks closed the event with a chanting prayer.
