Area Students Win Regional and National Awards as Members of Coker College's SIFE Team

HARTSVILLE -- The following area students were members of Coker College's inaugural Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team this year. The team won Regional Champion and Regional Rookie of the Year at the regional competition in New York City. The team then went on to win National Rookie of the Year and finished in the top 60 in the nation at the SIFE National Exposition in Minneapolis.

Adam Bedard of Hartsville, a physical education major with a concentration in exercise science.

Jessica Covington of Mullins, a communication major.

SIFE USA is the oldest and largest of the 39 SIFE country operations and with more than 4,000 students, faculty and executives in attendance, the SIFE National Exposition represents the largest gathering of SIFE network members anywhere in the world. Connecting generations of leaders to create a better world, SIFE is an international business and higher education network that works to improve lives, strengthen communities and develop socially responsible business leaders.
