At the young age of 20, Jessica Bazen of Kingsburg has opened her own business, “Captivating Moments Photography Studio.” Bazen, a 2008 honors graduate from Johnsonville High School, is no stranger behind a camera.
She received her first camera from her parents and has been taking pictures for about five-years. Now, she has taken her lifelong ambition and hobby and turned it into a business.
"My family is very supportive and continues to help out in any way possible," Bazen said. "Without them I'd be nowhere."
Bazen is the exclusive photographer for the Badger Bazen property and has a creative “out of the box” kind of photography. Her specialty is nature and outdoor pictures, but she also shoots indoor family portraits, glamour shots, and seasonal photos as well.
Jessica also travels and provides locations for photo shoots.
"Photography is my passion. I love to take pictures of my little sister who aspires to become a model," she said. " I also love to take colorful pictures and I am working on autumn and Halloween pictures now."
Captivating Moments also provides personalized photo memorabilia such as calendars, coffee mugs, mouse pads, greeting and post cards and many other products. This is a huge undertaking for someone so young, but her family is behind her all the way, Bazen said.
"In the future I hope that my photography will flourish into a successful business," replied Bazen."I am so thankful to my family and friends for supporting me in my venture. Most of all, I thank God for blessing me with this opportunity."
Bazen's new business is located at 1676 Kingsburg Hwy. For appointments for Halloween and autumn pictures call Jessica K. Bazen at 843-319-9523.
