LETTER TO THE EDITOR: What will our congress do?

So the election is over and now for the fallout. Nancy Pelosi (D -CA) will be the former Speaker of the House and quite possibly the minority leader. I guess she didn’t get the message, but her party lost the election. One positive note with her losing her position is the Air Force will have one more airplane in their fleet that won’t be on standby for Ms. Pelosi. That will be a little savings for us poor slobs that actually have to work for a living.

While we are talking about saving taxpayers money, perhaps the American worker can audit the books in Washington and find some more cost cutting items. For starters we could quit funding Planned Parenthood, $356 million, 325 thousand abortions, all at taxpayers expense. How about $350 million dollars to fund Public Broadcasting? Don’t we have enough liberal bias broadcasting companies that actually fund their own stations? How about de-funding the United Nations? When was the last time the U.N. did anything for the United States? I do hear a lot of bashing from them though. How many billions will that save?

I’m sure there are many cost saving programs that the politicians can use, the question is will they? Perhaps they can look at HR-25 (The Fair Tax), and see how much money will come back to the government coffers, not to mention how many jobs will also come back to America because of the tax structure this would provide.

I hope that our new Congress will actually get things done to get our economy back in order and not tax us to death,not to mention how many jobs will also come back to America because of the tax structure this would provide.
