PAWLEYS ISLAND - Georgetown County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested three men and two juveniles in connection with a burglary in Pawleys Island on Monday.
According to a news release, Timothe Samuel Greene, 18, of 4576 Firethorne Drive, Murrells Inlet, Joseph Michael Alba, 17, of 44 Muirfield Drive, Pawleys Island, Anthony Jujuan Grant, 17, of 952 Algonquin Drive, Pawleys Island, and two juveniles are all charged with Second Degree Burglary.
A caretaker called deputies to a home located at 502 Congressional Lane shortly after 6:00 p.m. after he spotted a suspicious vehicle the driveway. The caretaker had gone to the home to repair a window following a previous burglary, the release said.
As a deputy began walking around the residence, he observed the back sliding glass door was open. As the deputy approached the open door, he observed four suspects inside the home who attempted to run to the front door. The deputy entered the residence, and ordered the suspects to stop and get on the floor. A fifth suspect was apprehended a short time later.
Greene, Alba, and Grant were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center. Greene and Grant were released Wednesday on a $5,000 bond. Alba was released on a $5,570 cash bond, after also being charged with possession of marijuana, the release said.
The two juveniles were release to their parents.
