Kingstree Police investigate early morning McDonalds robbery

KINGSTREE-Kingstree Police are searching for three armed suspects who stormed into a local fast food restaurant Monday and robbed it at gunpoint, Kingstree Police Chief Robert Ford said.
It happened at about 2a.m. at the McDonalds restaurant on Longstreet Street when three men, all carrying firearms, walked in and demanded money from the employees, he said.
The men fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported, Ford said.
All three suspects are described as black men wearing masks.
Ford said there have been similar crimes reported in the region and police are investigating any possible links.
