Health Tips
Adults need 30 minutes of physical activity on five or more days a week to be healthy; children and teens need 60 minutes of activity a day for their health.
Thirty to 60 minutes of activity broken into smaller segments of 10 or 15 minutes throughout the day also has significant health benefits.
Three Elements of Fitness
If you’ve ever watched children on a playground, you’ve seen the three elements of fitness in action. The child runs away from the one who’s “it” (endurance), crosses the monkey bars (strength) and bends down to tie his or her shoes (flexibility).
