LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Hemingway boys basketball: A group of respectful young men

I attended the Lower State basketball game at The Citadel on Saturday. I teach in Hardeeville and our girls won Lower State.

While sitting in the stands, I watched Hemingway’s boys enter the gym. I found myself sitting there with my mouth wide open and my heart pounding ... what a sight for sore eyes they were! Each young man was perfectly groomed. Each one went up to all of the fans and hugged and thanked them for their support. What a treasure the entire team is. It made me swell with pride to see such a respectful group of young men. They certainly represented Hemingway well in every aspect ! Congratulations, Hemingway, for a job well done!

All of you are winners in my book. May God bless each of you and all of the adults that contributed to your wonderful upbringing!
