My thanks and recognition for a job well done to the crossing/traffic guard at All Saints School on Cherokee Road.
It is my understanding his name is Mr. Kenny McKoy. I have never met or spoken to Kenny, but I see him every weekday morning, rain or shine, hot or cold, on my way to work. I have noticed that he was not there only once this school year, so he must be a dependable employee for the city. He works hard and is serious about keeping the traffic flowing on Cherokee while at the same time directing parents with their kids in their cars safely into the school.
I know we have many individuals all over the city doing the same work, but his desire to do a good job is apparent and he makes me smile as I pass each day. Kenny is a unsung hero in my eyes doing his job without much thanks from those of us who pass his way each day. I only hope that others appreciate his efforts and he is rewarded for his dedication. I would stop and thank him, but then again he would not want traffic to slow down.
Keep up the good work Kenny, your work ethic is an example for all of us.
