CONWAY - A man who police said robbed a Aynor business and stabbed the owner in the eye has been captured in North Carolina.
According to Horry County Assistant Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, Antonio Dion Gilbert, 33, of Bennettsville was captured in Greensboro, NC by the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force Tuesday.
Gilbert was wanted in connection with the robbery that happened at Martin’s Place in Aynor June 17, 2009.
Police believe Gilbert is partially responsible for the robbery and for stabbing the victim, Craig Martin, multiple times-including in the left eye.
Three people were identified in connection with the incident
Police said a female suspect revealed the opening procedures of the store she obtained while delivering newspapers there on a daily basis.
She then dropped them off at the incident location while making her deliveries, and picked them up shortly after the incident, according to police.
Police arrested Kimberly O'Neil, 40, from Conway.
A 14-year-old from Conway was also arrested and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
He and O'Neil were both charged with assault and battery with the intent to kill and kidnapping on Wednesday.
Gilbert is currently awaiting an extradition hearing.
