MYRTLE BEACH – A pedestrian died on US 17 after being struck by a pickup truck shortly before 10 p.m. Friday night.

33 year old Steven Roberge, who lived in the Roadway Inn, died after suffering injuries from being hit by the vehicle, according to Horry County Coroner Chris Burroughs.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bob Beres said the Roberge was crossing the US 17 Business, just south of SC 544, when struck by a 1988 GMC pickup driven by David W. Minnigh, 37.

The crash remains under investigation, Beres said.
