FLORENCE -- Curtis Joe, Jr., age 21, of 625 Jamestown Road, Darlington, who was wanted in connection with the January 10 fatal shooting at the Days Inn Motel on West Lucas Street, was taken into custody by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office Friday.
Joe is charged with accessory before and after the fact of murder in the shooting of Marcus Antonio Weaver of Lake City.
Justin Rashawn Simms, 18, of 514 Copeland Drive, was arrested and charged with murder, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
Joshua Lavern Carraway, 23, was arrested Jan. 14 and charged with attempted armed robbery and accessory after the fact of murder.
The incident happened about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 10 in the parking lot of Days Inn at 2111 W. Lucas St., located at Interstate 95 and U.S. 52.
Marcus Weaver, 24, of 1180 Beulah Road, Lake City, died and Carraway was wounded.
Investigators allege Simms, Carraway and Joe went to the Days Inn Motel parking lot intending to rob the victims, according a previous release.
