CONWAY -- An Horry County woman is charged with ill treatment of animals, 2nd offense.
Ellyn Jamie Johnson, 33 of Myrtle Beach. Police say Johnson abandoned two dogs at her home near the Forestbrook community in Horry County in 2009.
Then on January 27, 2010 a foul odor was detected in an apartment at 113 River Brook Court Unit 2 Myrtle Beach by the owner/landlord of the complex.
Johnson was living at the apartment on 113 River Brook Court.
The owner of the apartment contacted Horry County Police and Environmental Services and the Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation.
During the search, one deceased bulldog and one malnourished cat were found.
Ellyn Johnson remains in jail at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
