Two hospitalized after tree falls on car in Robeson County

An accident that blocked part of Tar Heel Road near the Robeson/Bladen County line early Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital.

Robeson County Emergency Services says a tree fell on a car about 6:00 a.m. and trapped two people inside the car.

The two people are hospitalized and being treated for serious injuries.

After being closed for hours in the morning, the Tar Heel Road area is now open to traffic. North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

There's no word on the patients' conditions at this time. Count on more information from News13 and scnow.com as it becomes available.
