PAMPLICO—January 22, 2010, marked a special evening at New Prospect Christian School. After a week of practice and decorating to get things just right, New Prospect held it's annual homecoming pageant. This year, eight young ladies from grades 7 - 12 signed up with hopes of becoming Homecoming Court and Queen for 2010.
Senior, Morgan Langston won New Prospect Christian School's Homecoming Queen 2010. Morgan is the daughter of Michael and Robin Langston. Michael Langston was her escort and she was sponsored by Trent Gore, also a senior at the school. "I would like to thank everyone who has had a part in my years here at New Prospect," Morgan said. "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I want to always serve Christ and be all that I can for Him."
The Court winner for 11th-grade went to Anna Eaddy. She is the daughter of Glenn and Sandy Eaddy. Christian Young was her escort and she was sponsored by Nick Renfroe, a junior at New Prospect. Anna's goal in life is to let others see God in her life and to be successful in all that she does.
10th-grade winner was Tina Prosser, daughter of Jeff and Sandy Prosser. She was escorted by Jeff Prosser and sponsored by Wesley Derrick, a junior at the school.
Jackie Dukes placed Court for 9th-grade. Jackie is the daughter of James and Cheryl Dukes and was escorted by Billy Mingee. Her sponsor for the pageant was NPHS senior Ryan Poston.
Sydnee Langston, daughter of Michael and Robin Langston, won Homecoming Court for her 7th-grade class. Sydnee was escorted by A.J. Langston and sponsored by Dustin Renfroe, a senior at New Prospect High School.
New Prospect's reigning Homecoming Queen 2009, Maegan Powell, was on hand to present the Court winners as well as to crown the new Homecoming Queen 2010. Maegan is now a student at Francis Marion University, where she is studying Political Science.
