Hanna’s Chapel hosting BBQ dinner

Hanna’s Chapel Church located at 2247 1/2 Vox Highway will have their annual Fund Raising on Feb. 19. BBQ plates will be sold from 11:30 until.

Williamsburg County to hold Haiti relief fundraiser

Haiti relief fundraiser will be held Feb. 19 and 22, from 8am-5pm in the council chambers at the county complex both days. The fundraiser was announced at the Feb. 1 during the Williamsburg County Council meeting by Supervisor Stanley S. Pasley. The supervisor said all donations will be made through Red Cross and will be tax deductible.

Durant makes dean’s list at USC

Kindred J. Durant, a 2008 graduate of Hemingway High School now attending the University of South Carolina, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall of 2009. Kindred, who is majoring in Education, is the son of James and Carrie Williams of Hemingway and is a member of Jeremiah United Methodist Church in Hemingway.
