Coastal Commercial Roofing Company of Conway donated $31,000 of roofing materials to Marion County Habitat for Humanity this past Thursday.
“We are always looking to give back to the community,” Coastal Commercial Roofing Project Manager John Gann said.
Marion County Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Gordon Harper said the roofing materials are greatly appreciated because their operations depend solely on donations.
The materials will be used to help build homes in Marion County and be sold at their upcoming ReStore.
ReStore is an outlet store run by Habitat for Humanity for building materials that are sold to the community for less than average prices.
All profits made from ReStore go back to Habitat for Humanity to help build more houses in the community.
Marion County Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore will be located off Bobby Gerald parkway in the former Coca-Cola bottling factory.
Marion County ReStore is still being set up but they are hoping to have the store open this summer.
Marion County’s Habitat for Humanity has built 30 homes since 1995. They started work on their 31st home on Phillips street in Mullins two weeks ago.
