FLORENCE -- Florence Police are searching for a fourth person in connection with the Sept. 4 death of a 26-year-old man. Sterling C. Cameron,19, is wanted on accessory before the fact of a felony and accessory after the fact of a felony charges in connection with the death of Anthony D. Robinson.

Police said Cameron lied and withheld facts vital to the murder investigation, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.

Robinson was shot in the back as he was getting into a car on 300 block of North Dargan Street, Raines said.

The victim made his way to nearby Trinity Baptist Church where he collapsed. Police said bystanders tried to administer CPR in the church parking lot, but Robinson was pronounced dead at an area hospital about 3 a.m. that day.

Levi Wells,17, of 702 Page St. in Dillon was arrested in February and is charged in connection with the death of Robinson.

Sean Taylor,19, of 1313 Tallulah St. in Florence is charged with misprison of a felony after police said he lied to them about who shot Robinson.

Police said Taylor falsely implicated 34-year-old Calif Nashon Majid Smyer in connection the shooting of the victim.

Smyer was charged with the murder of Robinson but was cleared after police learned new information and were able to link Wells to the crime.

He is currently in federal prison on unrelated charges, Raines said.

Wells’ 23-year-old sister Lauren Precious Wells, of the same address in Dillon, was arrested Oct. 14 and is charged with accessory before the fact of a violent felony and accessory after the fact of a felony or murder in connection with the case. She was released on a $5,000 bond.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Florence Police Department at (843) 665-3191 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
