Bennettsville police investigate drive-by shooting

BENNETTSVILLE -- Bennettsville police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened early Monday, Bennettsville Police Sgt. Larry Turner said.

It happened between 5 and 6 a.m. at a residence at 319 Ayers St., Turner said. It is unclear who or what the intended target of the suspects was, but no one was injured.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police department at (843) 479-3620 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
