It’s “Reply To All” time, when we answer more than one of the questions sent in to the News13 newsroom.
This week, Lynn Hammond asked, “Where has the Big M casino boat gone to? It's been gone for a couple of weeks now.”
Good eye, Lynn! It’s actually been “Dry Docked” since November 29th. This was a planned outage for it to have some improvements done to it.
A worker at Big M Casino said it got a fresh coat of paint, new slot machines, and an alcohol license during this time. It has new nickel and $5.00 slot machines for the customers to enjoy.
It will re-open Sat., December 11 and operate on its regular schedule. For more information on the Big M Casino Boat out of Little River, check out its website.
And in time for the Christmas season, Robyn Martin wants to know, “Why was the Miracle on 34th Street named on that street instead of 33rd or 35th streets?”
That’s because of where the movie was set. Its main storyline centers around the Macy’s Department store in New York City, which is on 34th Street. To learn more about the history of the classic holiday movie, check out its website with iMDb.
