A Darlington man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl, according to Darlington police reports.
Mildenzel Davis, 19, of 133 Bacote St., is charged with criminal sexual assault of a minor ages 11 to 14, committing a lewd act on a child and simple possession of marijuana, Darlington Police Capt. Danny Watson said.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday at the suspect’s residence, and the suspect was arrested about an hour later, Watson said.
The investigation continues, he said.
